Kiwi Bubble Tea - How to Make it & Flavors to Pair With

Kiwi Bubble Tea

Kiwi Bubble Tea Picture

The kiwi bubble tea is one of my personal favorite boba flavors. The flavor is sweet, with a light tartness to it. The fruit itself has a brown, furry layer covering a beautiful inward green juicy kiwi flesh. The green color is what is seen on the inside for majority of the fruit, with a pure white that resides in the middle, where most of the black seeds also reside.

The fruits' known orientation is from China, where it spread from there to New Zealand overtime, according to wiki. The outer layer of the kiwi fruit is often peeled and disposed of, but some eat it whole. The skin tastes like apple skin, but of course the outer layer is more thick and tough. According to health experts, eating the outer layer is more healthy than eating the inner flesh. Kiwis contain many nutrients, one of them being vitamin C; along with plenty of fibers from the skin.

The syrup to make the kiwi bubble tea is located here:

2 to 4 tablespoons per 16 ounces of fluid. The syrup for the bubble tea contains vitamins A and C from the kiwi juice. This can be mixed with water, coconut milk, almond milk, soy milk, whole milk, milkshakes, and smoothies.

Boba Shop Help: Basic Ingredients for Making Kiwi Bubble Tea

These are the basic ingredients needed to make the kiwi bubble tea at home, or for your boba shop if you need help as a barista.

  1. Make your tea. The tea should be 2 teaspoons of the tea leaf flavor of your choice for every 16 ounces of water. Here are the tea leaf flavors for bubble tea.
  2. Place 5 to 6 ounces of cooked tapioca pearls per 16 ounces into the bottom of the cup.
  3. Add 2 to 4 tablespoons (3 is recommended) of kiwi syrup flavoring to the drink for every 16 ounces.
  4. Pour the tea, along with the milk (if you are making a milk tea) into the cup and shake, or mix it together.
  5. If you are adding milk to create a kiwi milk tea, then add 4 to 6 tablespoons of the milk tea powder mix, or use 7 to 8 ounces of milk with 8 ounces of tea.
  6. Add ice as needed.

Please refer to the guide to making the perfect tapioca pearls, and cooking tapioca pearls to ensure that your bubble tea drink has good flavor and texture.

Flavors That Pair Well With Kiwi Bubble Tea

Here are all the flavors that pair well with kiwi boba drinks, which can be found in the boba tea flavors list.

  • Apple
  • Banana
  • Strawberry
  • Blueberry
  • Raspberry
  • Mango
  • Lychee
  • Cherry
  • Pomegranate
  • Coconut
  • Almond
  • Peppermint
  • Rose

Mango, lychee, and almond are common boba drinks in the boba society. Lychee mixes very well with many tropical fruits, including others. The popping (bursting) boba flavors are a great addition as a topping, which is very popular in the U.S and Europe. Of these, there is the lemon, mango, lychee, strawberry flavors to choose from for making a nice kiwi juice bubble tea.

If you need the tapioca pearls to cook, then check out the guide to making the perfect tapioca pearls.

Tea leaves can be added to the boba drink too. Check out the tea leaves section for more guidance on the different flavors, and how to steep them.

Kiwi Milk Bubble Tea

A kiwi bubble tea can be made easily from home by adding the syrup to a milk type of your choice, and including the popping boba into the drink, or even one of the boba jelly flavors. The boba jellies also include the strawberry and mango flavors as a topping.

The cheaper and easier way to make this boba drink would be by using the milk tea mix located in the 'how to make milk tea' guide. It comes as the traditional black milk tea (black tea leaves).

Ingredients:

  • Milk or Milk Tea
  • Kiwi Syrup for Bubble Tea
  • Tapioca Pearls, Boba Jelly, or Popping Boba
  • Tea Leaves flavor of your choice
