Jackfruit Bubble Tea

Jackfruit Bubble Tea

Jackfruit Bubble Tea Picture

Jackfruit bubble tea is a unique boba drink made from the jackfruit. The typical size of a jackfruit is about that of the average human head (unless they have a globe like Jimmy Neutron). The weight of a single fruit can be around 20 pounds or more. Therefore eating the entire jackfruit, would yield a great amount of calories. However, a cup of jackfruit is less than 160 calories.

The entire fruit, inside and outside, shares a lot of similarities with the pineapple fruit. The taste is even in between that of a banana and pineapple. The smell is very fruity, and some even say its flesh is chewy with the flavor of juicy fruit gum. Others find the smell unpleasant. The pieces of fruit inside have seeds encased in them, which are picked out before consumption. The seeds are sometimes saved, and then cooked. The outside layer is green and hard, kind of spiny, but it doesn't contain the hallmark 'palm tree' located on top of the pineapple. The inside flesh is sticky, yellow, with a similar appearance to the pineapple. It contains vitamins A and C, and fibers to help with digesting foods easier.

The jackfruit is a popular vegetarian 'meat', because of its chewy texture that resembles pork.

Flavors That Pair Well With Jackfruit Bubble Tea

These are all the flavors that pair well with the jackfruit bubble tea. Making a smoothie out of the mix with the other fruits that pair well with this flavor, is the best option.

  • Pineapple
  • Orange
  • Mango
  • Peach
  • Banana

The jackfruit bubble tea flavor already has some mango, banana, and pineapple qualities to its flavor, so they match well. All the flavors are found in the boba flavors listing.

It is advised by healthcare experts that jackfruit combined with milk is not a good idea, as it can cause indigestion, nausea, and upset stomach. Drinking milk before or right after eating jackfruit is probably not a good idea. However, if you are using the jackfruit flavoring recommended above, you will be fine.

There are instructions on the same package that include milk. As most people are told, drink your bubble tea in moderation whether it is made at home or bought from a boba shop. Too much of anything is not good for you, even if it is healthy.

The best pair is the jackfruit boba smoothie, which includes the banana, mango, and pineapple flavorings. Jackfruit would be the main ingredient, followed by an equal amount of each of the other flavors. From a taste test of jackfruit done by eating it by itself, cooked, and as a smoothie, the smoothie was favored the most.

The milk tea mix is located in the how to make milk tea guide, which is the traditional black milk tea as the base. The tapioca pearls are located in the how to cook boba pearls guide, and the mango popping boba is located in the top 10 bursting boba flavors.
