Strawberry Bubble Tea (The Boba Pink Drink)
Strawberry Bubble Tea
Strawberry Bubble Tea is one of the least popular boba drinks compared to the Asian drinks that originated from this same province. However, strawberry is extremely popular in the United States. The fruit is gorgeous on the inside and outside, with a natural pleasant aroma. This fruit is truly a God given masterpiece. There is no need to modify the smell or taste, because it is already perfected.
They mix well with other popular common flavors, like chocolate and vanilla, and it has a lot of peoples' favorite (or atleast accepted) color. I remember cutting into the strawberry and seeing the inside with white in the middle, and how it blends towards the outside red as it gets closer to the edges. It looks so delicious!
The point is that, this boba tea had to be mentioned, and it is a favorite in America. With the rise of the homemade Starbucks pink drink, this sensational fruit lives on to inspire restaurants everywhere. The pink drink too, is quite easy to make. It will be discussed here in this article as a pink drink bubble tea. Since the ingredients are pretty easy, by adding a few extra things, then why not.

How to Make Strawberry Bubble Tea
First, let's go over the basics for making the regular strawberry boba:
One of the main ingredients needed to make the strawberry bubble tea is the syrup, which is found here:
2 to 3 tablespoons of the syrup should be enough for a 16 ounce drink. All you would need to do is mix it with milk, Milk Tea mix, or brewed tea, if you are planning to use tea with this. The options for tea leaves are listed here. It will cover information on steeping tea leaves as well.
There are many different strawberry boba drinks to make with the syrup:
The syrup can be used to make strawberry milk, in which boba can be placed into (or popping boba). With the popping (bursting) boba, no cooking is required, and the drink can be made in less than a minute.
The main ingredients are:
- Milk (Whole milk, Cocunut, Almond, or Soy for vegans)
- Cooked Tapioca Pearls, Popping Boba, or Jelly
- Strawberry Syrup
There are strawberry flavored popping boba, which is actually the best of all the flavors based off of customer reviews by a long shot. The boba is found here:
The container is quite hefty, with 8 pounds of pearls that will last quite awhile. These things are awesome! If you want more flavors, there are the top 10 exploding boba flavors located here. There is passion fruit as well, which goes well with the pink drink listed below!
Strawberry Milk Tea is another great combination, with the milk tea mix located in the 'how to make milk tea' guide. It is also a very simple and quick drink, that can be made in minutes. Of course, if you are using the bursting boba mentioned above, or the jelly, then this will be the case. Cooking tapioca pearls requires some time, but it is a fun experience.
The ingredients are:
- Milk Tea Mix
- Strawberry Syrup
- Cooked Boba, Popping Boba, or Strawberry Jelly Topping
The Strawberry Jelly Topping for this is here:
If you want the original pearls, the tapioca pearls section will have all the available boba to cook for boba tea. If you need guidance on cooking them to perfection, then check out the cooking tapioca pearls section. Serving excellent tapioca pearls at your boba shop is a must if you have one.
Starbucks Pink Drink Boba
A Starbucks pink drink boba is quite simple to make. I have watched a video of a woman in a Starbucks uniform using expensive equipment, and squirting 10 different things into a cup to produce these drinks. The video was intended for people at home to make as it was titled, "How to Make Starbucks ______ Drink". It was pretty discouraging after seeing all the things used to make a simple drink, and all the equipment needed to do it. I get that people might want to know the original way these drinks are made too, but some are just fine with knowing how to replicate the flavor.
It was easy for her, and the video lasted about a few minutes (Tik Tok), but not for anyone actually trying to make it.
The pink drink boba only requires a few ingredients to get the desired taste and results. The ingredients to make a starbucks pink drink bubble tea are:
- Passion Fruit Syrup
- Coconut Milk
- Strawberry Syrup
- Bursting Boba, Tapioca Pearls, or Strawberry Jellies made for Bubble Tea as the topping
The coconut milk is the original milk used to make this drink. You can opt out and use another type of milk if you like. Strawberry is the main flavor for the pink drink, so it would have strawberry syrup as the main ingredient, and a smaller amount of the passion fruit syrup. A fifth of the amount of your strawberry syrup should be good for your passion fruit syrup.
2 to 3 tablespoons of syrup per 16 ounces of milk (hot or cold), and about one teaspoon of passion fruit.
The passion fruit syrup to make the homemade drink can be found here:
Note: There is a Strawberry Frappe Mix located in homemade pink drink guide, if you want to make a full frappuccino, and just add one of the boba toppings listed above to it.
